Home

Click the home button to go to the NewsLazer home screen. The home screen displays two open tabs: “Latest File Groups” and “Best File Groups.” “Latest File Groups” are the most recent groups uploaded to Usenet. “Best File Groups” are the highest rated groups on Usenet.

Overview

In the bookmarks bar, click the Overview button to display file groups available for download in any newsgroup you select.

Search

Click the Search button to access tabs containing all the file group results from any custom searches you have run. Type keywords into the main search box in the top right of the application window to display these results.

My List

Click the My List button to display any file groups you have added to your list.

Newsgroups

Click the Newsgroups button to display a list of available Usenet newsgroups. From here, you can search for newsgroups by keyword or article count. To add newsgroups to your bookmarks bar, click the (+) icon next to the name of the newsgroup you wish to add.

Auto Search

Click the Auto Search button to launch the Auto Search panel. From the panel, you will be able to create custom Usenet searches set to run every hour while the browser is up and running. These custom searches can be set to either display matches based on your search criteria, or download those matches. You can also set a cap on your total download bandwidth so to do not exceed your internet plan’s allotted bandwidth.

Open NZB

Click the Open NZB button to open and import NZB files from third party sources. Once opened, and NZB file can be queued for download.

Download Folder

Click the Download Folder button to open the folder where your downloads are stored.

Transfers

Click the Transfers button to display your current list of active file group downloads. From here, you can also check on download progress, change download priority, and/or delete unwanted downloads.

Pause

Click the Pause button to pause all currently queued downloads. To resume downloading, click the Pause button again.

Auto Shutdown

Click the Auto Shutdown button to trigger your computer shutdown when all of your queued file groups finish downloading. Click the Auto Shutdown button again to turn off automatic computer shutdown.

Connection Graph

The Connection Graphs displays download speed and the amount of time and data remaining to complete currently queued transfers.

NNTP Activity

The NNTP Activity panel displays the current activity on each connection to NewsLazer servers.

Messages

The Message panel displays any service or software updates from NewsLazer.

Your Account

The Your Account panel displays the amount of data you have downloaded on the current day and how much data you have downloaded over the past month. Your Account will also display which account is logged in. To view additional statistics, click the “Traffic Stats” link.
